The other day my belly button was itchy, (I have an innie) so I scratched away. I noticed a scab come off inside, which I assume why it was itchy.
It bled a little so I washed it up, and a scab formed again. So I left it alone, even though it was itchy.
Now about a week later, I noticed small amount of green goop, and the scab gone (not sure if it just rubbed off or what). I cleaned it up, and noticed it smelt.
I don't know like what, I cleaned it today, and toomorrow I will take some q tips and clean in it, then dry it. I don't know what else to do with it, or if it will just go away on it's own.

While you wait for the doctor to see it, check if they have alibour water sold over the counter. It is a good antiseptic. You can wash the wound with boiled water and put some alibour water in a glass with lukewarm water. Use a clean cotton and place it on the belly button. I hope it works.

It seems that you somehow may have hurt your belly button. Now that your belly button seems to have caught an infection. I would suggest you to go and meet doctor for further instruction. An infection there can be life threatening sometimes depends on how severe the infection is. Take some antibiotics too just to strengthen your body immune system temporarily. May you be safe.

It sounds like you have some kind of infection. You probably need some kind of topical antiobiotic cream to clean it up. I'm guessing your belly button isnt an innie like mine. My husband had a belly button that looked like a cinnabun lol. It was gross and he would have to try to get in it with a q-tip and alochol and clean it out now and then or it would get infected.

It sounds to me like you have an infection because of the scratching that you were doing. The best suggestion that I can give to you is to get some triple antibiotic cream and but some of that on the wound so that it will be able to heal without further complications. If, however, you do notice that you start to develop a fever or just start to feel bad in general, then I think at that point you should get to the doctor's office as soon as possible.
