Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well that is absolutely shocking and hair raising incident, i think that 13 year old guy must have gone crazy otherwise no 13 year old could even think of attempting this heinous crime. Yes u are absolutely right, thank god that girl was saved and he should be given the toughest of the toughest punishment so that no body of his age can ever think of attempting this crime in the future. What say?

what say? subhojit I also second what you said and add this:WE MUST TEACH BOYS WHEN LITTLE TO RESPECT WOMEN AND GIRLS AND TO HONOR THEM.If we all did this it might help a lot to break down the oldboys club ideas about us women and get males to treat us from 2 to 92 with respect as equ als not second class'citizens. Okay off my soap box now. from hatleyh

Yes u are absolutely right, i think it is all the effect of peers and media that is getting them bad thoughts. It is disturbing to see how small kids wants to imitate the elder ones, i think they needs to be groomed by their parents in such a way that they respect each and every individual in their lives.

This has become a worrying trend, these types of incidents are on the increase and it seems it's happening all over, what kind of 'perverts' is society breeding. This never happened decades ago, and yet in the news we seem to be hearing of this time and time again. Personally I think that there are no real deterrants, no fitting punishments, sentences are minimal and sometimes ludicrous, it gives the green flag that it's ok to rape and commit acts of violence. At 13 he should be old enough to be punished for this heinous act.

Well that's pretty unusual. A 13-year- old kid molested a grown girl. Although you'll never know because there are teenagers who are quite tall and strong. Maybe the boy is just 13 years old but maybe he's standing like 6'8" or something, you'll never know. It's either that or the girl is like 4'1". :D Have you read the full article or the whole news? Maybe you missed something that's why you're confused.

Similar incidents are becoming so common here, recently one medical student was raped in a MOVING BUS I think the persons who did this are insane, beasts. Old days are gone, kids these days are exposed to internet, mobile phones, porns They need more care and guidance by parents

Hi ungu Really a worrying thing .After reading this i got some doubts where is the world running towards and why are these boys behaving like that ? .Here in India also if we go through new channels and new papers we can find many of these news a minimum or 3 to 4 cases on the same issue .Coming to the present incident some more questions arise what are these boys taught at home ,school? i strongly believe that Movies are having most of the effect on the boys .If i have a boy of that age ill try to make him understand about the ethics how to behave in the society and most important with women.

It's a very sad situation. I think I'm going to seek professional help and home schooled him for a while. I don't know which influences children now a day, I would love to blame the parents for not educating their children well but I do believe that it's not only their fault. Media plays an important role too.

gu first please spell out the word you as we are not to use texting abbreviations here. I think now days I expect most anything from teens as they listen to and watch violence on television and play violent games sure they will attack and try to 'rape a girl if their mind set thinks violence is okay now days.. I am appalled by it of course and wish these things would not happen. But they do.What we can do as parents is teach our children that violence is not okay and not the answer to anything. Also we must teach our little boys to respect and honor women not mistreat them. As an elderly woman I would suggest teaching little sons that violence is not the way to settle problems but using your minds and figuring out solutions is the way to handle problems.Males will probably object but this is just one elderly lady's opinion.
