I keep a bottle of peppermint extract in my purse for those times when I have a craving and I can't fight it. Peppermint is suppose to be good for fighting cravings. Just a small whiff, and it's all good. I love peppermint anything though. Peppermint candles, peppermint mocha, peppermint candy. Delicious!

I do the same thing! I use different extracts, including the mint, in my hot mochas. And I also buy them at Walmart since they are much cheaper than McCormick in the grocery stores. But I like a bold taste, so I use a whole teaspoon in one cup. Oh yeah, perks it right up!
I also use rum, coconut, maple, coffee (yes, there is a coffee extract), orange, almond, vanilla nut, and even peanut butter (a little strange, but not bad). A different flavor every night!

I use it when I make brownies, adding the extract to the frosting with crushed oreos. I have never had it with hot chocolate.
