Serena Williams lost at the Australian Open to a U. S. teenager and had another temper tantrum. She banged her racket on the court several times and then threw and that was just in the very short clip I saw. I wasn't able to watch the match so I don't know what else she did. She probably won't even get punished for this violent behavior. Remember in the U. S. open a few years ago when she threatened a line judge. All she got was a very small fine and was even allowed to continue in the tournament in doubles play; she had lost in the singles part in the match where the threat occurred. Of course intimidation of the other players and the officials is a big part of her success in tennis. No one will admit to that but it appears obvious to me.

May be beaten down by an unknown teenage player in a tournament is like a big slap to her cheek, she can't handle that type of humiliation and defeat, in front of her fans, supporters and audiences. Since she is a big star and famous person with several tennis championship in hand from the past, she know full well throwing her girlish temper tantrum in tennis court after losing is a personal privilege that no one will hold her responsible for that childish behavior. Looking at her muscular physique, her unladylike outburst in the tennis court is not uncommon among female tennis players, some men tennis champions did the same thing when they were call out fault by the referee or defeated by unknown tennis players no one ever heard of. May be it is a common tennis culture among famous players to bang/ thrown/hit their rackets violently and forcefully as a reaction to their displeasure to their opponents or referee. Some sport champions don't take defeat lightly and it can means the lost of million and million of dollars in their deep pockets.
