Am I the only one getting this? Am I the only one or does this happen to everyone? I've been getting it a lot since this morning.
I'm guessing they forgot to feed the hamsters and decided to party since its Friday and the server is deppressed again because she's all alone on a Friday night.

This is more likely to be a problem with something between your PC and the MyLot server, as described here: http://getnetgoing.com/HTTP-504.html
When your browser accesses a website, it first has to ask the DNS what the actual IP address of that site is, based on the URL typed in. The DNS is a huge distributed database of ALL domain names with the appropriate IP address for each. 'Distributed' means that there are thousands of copies of this information and your computer connects with a particular one of these (usually specified by your ISP). If that database has not updated its information poperly, or is working slowly, it may not send you to the right IP address or may not do so within a certain time limit and so you see a 504 error.
If this is a persistent problem for you (not just this morning) you might try using an alternative DNS service, such as OpenDNS, which ALSO gives you some protection against phishing websites: http://www.opendns.com/home-solutions/ There is a free option available (the Premium service) but for quite a small amount you can get extra protection, especially if you have children using the computer.

Oh wow, that seems quite complicated. I didn't know it goes through that much. Thanks for letting me know.
ugh, I wish I were a bit techy-er. I think my nose almost bled for a second there.
Are phishing websites viruses? Im using a phone so do I still get affected?
