I could not help reading this over CNN where the US is considering removing the ban of women from participating in combating with the men in the front-line. I was really surprise by this and wondering if the rest of the world especially my country will be doing this, once the ban is eventually removed.
In some ways, I feel that women can actually complement men in the front-lines especially fighting in delicate situations on the ground. Women have known to be great motivational support to men who fight in the front-lines but warfare today has been changing and there are combat situations which require women. In my country, women are actively complementing men in the elites like bodyguards, working behind enemy lines like espionage. However, fighting with the men in the army and front-lines is still nowhere yet.
I believe this move in the US will definitely open eyes and doors even. Just reminds me that the movie GI Jane (starring Demi Moore), will no longer be some writer's dream but become a reality pretty soon.
Hooyah!

If a woman can fight then she should be able to do it. I mean in Isreal they women fight in the front lines right there with the men. If a woman can help the men then let them fight because some women can do it just like the men can.

If I may add fight better than men too.
Somehow, I felt that there's more to it about leaving women away from fighting in the front lines with men. For starters, I think it will be the possibility of women rising from the ranks and start undertaking leadership roles.
I believe that this "what's next" unforeseeable stage seems to be the catalysts for the hesitations here.
What do you think?
