Would YOU enter for a chance to win?

I got an ad in the mail the other day to enter a raffle. It's a chance to win a 2.4 million dollar "Dream house". I must admit, the house looks beautiful, but honestly I'm not really interested in it. After all, the taxes on it must be outrageous!
I'm more interested in the cash instead.
There are other prizes as well. Cars, vacations, electronics, jewelry, etc. The odds of winning are 1 in 50, so it's waaay better than the lottery.
But still. At $150 a pop for a ticket, I'd rather spend the money on something else, like bills or groceries.
By the way, here's the link if you want to see the house and other prizes for yourself:

So, do you have something like this in your area? With odds like this would you enter for your chance to win? Why or why not?

I haven't checked my mail to know if I got one to or not but even if I did I would not take the chance. I mean it sounds like a dream come true and it would be a great win if I did but in all honesty the odds are against you and I know a lot of people will enter. it's your choice but something I learned from my grandfather was that if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is. I live by that saying a lot.

No you didn't say you were going to enter..
..lol...but I was telling you why I would not do so. That's a lot of money to spend on the hopes to win more.

A great prize... but for so much money... not a great chance to win it.. Id say no.. there are plenty of free contests to enter. Check out the internet for some in your area....

I never buy a lottery ticket. Lotteries are only good for their organizers : here the state takes between 40 to 60% of the money put into lotteries, lottos, and others tickets to scratch, and private lotteries are not better when it comes to give back the money they earn by selling tickets
. One has more chance to win by playing casino games : at least it is possible to break the bank in a casino, but not in a lottery.

I just ignore these kind of traps as they are just fake. I have also been fallen in such kind of tap as i was unaware of all these tricks. I have already lost hundreds in such kind of gambles. So please, please stay away from these.

I'm sorry to hear that.
And no worries, I never had any intention of entering.

I wouldn't enter that kind of competition if I were you, it's just too expensive. Just think of how useful $150 would be to your family, the lottery is cheaper to enter. So don't waste your money, if you don't know what to do with it than just put it away.

Um, looks like you missed what I said, so I'll say it again. I'd rather spend the money on something else, like bills or groceries.

I've never got email for a change to win a raffle. I've visit the site link you posted above, but the site seems very new. I still doubt about a raffle that has no official sponsors. I will not enter for a chance to win a raffle. Try to investigate the site whether it is a scam or not. If you get nothing about the site's reputation, don't be tempted by their offers.

Actually they do. It's Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Sponsored or not, I don't get tempted by such offers.

Yes, I will try my luck but only if I have extra money. But usually if I have extra money I still refrain from buying tickets on lottery or on any raffles. It doesn't matters how many participants, it is always once in a million. Now to save money for the future or for any business venture in the future is much viable. I have an office mate for almost thirty years instead of having snacks on break time he save it to buy tickets on lottery, to date he is still hoping to hit the jackpot.

I get offers like that all the time. They hold no interest for me.
