Is it the problem of windows xp or other application softwares?

I have installed adobe pagemaker version 7 on my windows xp service pack 2 os the other day!
Till now i got few problems with my os as it is showing me some scree errors now and hen while opening application packages like adobe pagemaker and anuscript, adobe indesign.
The error message is like this.......
Plug - in - error
Plug-in cannot be completed
Some system operation failed

9001:7224
Please let me have a perfect solution for this issue on my pc

Did you got same problem when you start other applications that not belong to Adobe,if not,one posibility is the adobe software is not setup well,try to reinstall it,the other posibility I can remember is the firewall,check if you are using a firewall and baned some adobe operations in the rules.
