My 9 year old daughter andi were watching a show last night about interesting houses. There was one we both ab absolutely fell in love with. She then turns to me and says, if we got that houses would be so excited that I would faint, if I knew how to faint. It was so funny the way it came out. Like fainting is a controlled thing.

Kids and their words!
She must be really smart, those who have a way with expressing themselves without inhibition usually are. I remember my then 4 year old sister, saying that she's not yet a human because she's just a kid. And after many sleeps, she will become a human someday.

LOL! That is really cute!
I suspect that your daughter has seen people on television and in movies faint, and often it looks very dramatic and rehearsed, which is probably why she thinks that it is something that people learn to do. If she saw someone in real-life faint, then she would probably have a whole different perspective on it. Still, I love the way that young minds work.

Hahaha! Your daughter is funny! Where did she get that idea, anyway? But having that picture on my mind makes me laugh really. Kids could just make us laugh.

We too have this word commonly used 'faint' (in Bahasa Malaysia is 'pengsan').
We will fondly used it to described certain expression like;
'Looking at his hyper playful character, we want to faint / (pengsan)'
Your daughter is so cute, and her expression is really innocent.
It makes me laugh when I read this post.
In my dialect, we also like to say the word 'fell/fall down' to
express the similar like 'she is so beautiful, beautifully fell'!

the reason is quite odd but i think it is more than enough to make her shy away and also for sure be uncomfortable all the time ideally

If she had been an adult she would probably have said something like 'that is a house I would die for' as though dying is a controlled thing!
We all come out with these expressions and from your account it appears that we learn them when we are very young. Do you know where she got that expression from?
