There is a saying that states " If you cant beat them, join them" It sounds practical and easy not for me. I dont know if I am just being a hipster because I dont think I am as I do admire some things that are mainstream. Now time for the rant, Its sucks to be a minority!!! Lets say you are stuck with a group of people who likes a certain genre of music that you dont like and you are the only person out there with a different taste. I think I am the only fan of some certain band or singer in my country. I felt like if those artist will have a concert here, I will be the only person to watch the concert. here are some examples of being a minority: lets say you are going to dine out with your friend, You want to eat on the Chinese restaurant, but the majority of the group dont like dimsum. So they decided to eat at Mcdonalds instead. You want to watch a TV show, but this show airs at the same time with your Mother's favorite soap opera and that soap opera is also your dad's, sister's , vacationing cousin's, visiting mom's friend's , house keeper's and aunts favorite soap opera.....you are outnumbered and you cant watch that show. another one, Its election time,You voted a certain Politician, you wanted him or her to win, but sadly you are only 1 of the 2 percent that voted for that person as 98 percent of your country's population, voted of the politician you hated.

i dont mind being a minority, i dont really mind being the one that has a different opinion, but i just try to not have a discussion much with people who does not respect my opinion, i would voice it out but i will just leave it at that.

I think being outnumbered is not that bad if you at least somehow have someone to relate with. but being alone in the minority spot in a group of friends, kinda sucks. I have friends but I just cant relate with them.

I don't mind being in the minority, unless it comes to politics because somehow, someway I will be affected by a decision of other people. I don't wish to pick a fight with anyone but I guess I belong to the minority who have different opinions and views about thing. But democracy, as often said, is the tyranny of the majority.

I dont start arguments when I am in the minority position because I know it wont change a thing, but I dont brag about being in the majority, as I know how it feels to be in the minority;.
