I have just had a test with eye doctor. My eye is more myopia. I must wear a glasses 1.5 degree and 1.75 degree. How to prevent increase myopia while I must work with computer every day from 8:00AM to 5:00PM? I really hate to wear a glasses on nose. It's very inconvenience.

Not wearing your glasses will make your eyes worse. But here are some things that might help you out http://earthclinic.com/CURES/myopia.html Good luck!

Myopia increases as you get older. Have you tried contact lenses? They will not bother your nose. You must have to take them out at night time when you go to bed. My daughter never took them out and she ran into trouble. Ask your opthomalogist about contact lenses. It might take a little bit of time to get used to them, but once you are used to them, you will like them better than your glasses.

I don't think there is anyway you can prevent it, but you can make your life easier. LASIK surgery is the obvious choice. Or if you hate glasses like I do, switch to contact lenses. I am extremely myopic at -7.0 and -7.5. I wear contacts. I never wear glasses although I have a pair just in case, but the prescription is over 10 years old and the lenses are about ?" thick. Like looking at the world through a fishbowl!

You should wear your glasses at all times, or, if you can't stand them, you may want to get contact lenses. But glasses are not so bad after you've got used to them. I hardly notice mine any-more, and my nose never hurts. But you should make sure you try out several pairs and find which model works for you. Some are really light. As for prevention, you should be fine as long as you wear your glasses. I have myopia as well, and heavy computer use hasn't made it worse for me (yet).
