The other girl I work with left for the night, this lady walks in literally 2 minutes later. I was trying to be nice, and ask her if she needs help. She then wouldn't shut up, screaming at me about how people on welfare get everything handed to them, and she is struggle (I don't disagree with her at all, I actually agree), but she is screaming it in my store, and well I am working (I actually need the job).
Customers come walking in and she just kept going. I just tood there shaking my head, thinking get out of my store please.
A couple comes in you can tell they arn't together long. They stop me and say they came to the store on a date - who goes to a pet food store for a date
. This girl wouldn't shut up, I was getting annoyed so i can imagine how this guy felt. He bought cat grass, a few toys, and treats, gave her one and said give that to your cats. She just wouldn't shut her mouth, I was ready to tell her to shut up.
I was closed at 5pm, and I didn't lock the door until 5:45pm, becuse of the people banging on the door screaming, crazy idiots, I have never seen so many people who run out of food, and expect me to drop everything so they can get it. I always make sure I restock before I am completely out.

Wow!! Well, at least your work isn't dull! I wonder what is going on though, that seems really extreme for just one night, is it always like that? You must have a lot of patience, I don't think I could handle it as well as you do. But like I said, at least you're not bored at work.

Oh wow, a date at a pet food store. Some date.
I know the feeling though, cause I am always getting crazy people that come into the store when its about time for me to clock out. Like one time there was this drunk lady who wanted help finding a pool cap for her grand daughter and a cover up so she could wear to the pool.
She kept asking me if I could show her were these things were and I kept telling her we don't sell shower caps and she was like you are not helping me at all. Can you even walk me to the area and I was walking to the area. I'm like why do I always get the drunk people and especially when its time for me to go home. I was 30 minutes over on when it was time for me to clock out because she needed help and we are not allowed to have over time. Its always me. I always try to avoid those drunk people, but they always seem to come and find me. @chiyosan (30186)

Hi there! sometimes there are just people who can't seem to manage well when it comes to the food availability at home, especially when it comes to ingredients. but then my concern is not for the things they aren't able to do, but for their guts in banging your door asking you to open up for them when it is clearly stated its closed. I mean that is a clear sign that it is closed, whether its door is open or locked. :D As for me, if i do need something and the store is closed, i do not bother anyone so i could get in and do a last minute purchase.

People can be crazy sometimes.
We get people sometimes who come in right before the store closes, I mean five minutes before but they are usually nice about it. Of course it is midnight so, well that may be part of it.
I know there are customers I've had who go on and on about something and I'm like just standing there listening, trying to act polite but not agree with them. Even if I agree, I won't outright say it to them.
I had a customer the other day, I think actually Saturday whom I'm not sure was even directing this at me, but well... She said something like "people need to stop socializing." I was talking with one of my favorite customers but I wasn't taking too long, but I also didn't want to impolite..
She didn't repeat it to me or say anything and she was nice so perhaps she wasn't talking about me at all or I misheard...

I'm sorry to hear that you get all the crazies at work. That would be frustrating. When I use to work at a restaurant there would be people who would come in like ten to 15 minutes before we were closing. That would drive me crazy. I always felt irritated because we still had other cleaning up to do before we would be able to get out of there. People are just so inconsiderate.

My last work was also in that kind of environment where customers are shouting at you and keeps on asking for help. There are times I get blamed for something that's out of control. It's very stressful but I need a job and couldn't afford to leave that job because of the benifits I'm receiving.

Wow, that IS crazy. I hope you wouldn't need therapy when you're done there, lol! I'm just kidding, but I hope they realize soon that they are not the only ones who are having hard time, but they don't see every single person who's having it hard go berserk like that in public and take it on an unsuspecting employee who's just doing her job.

Wow Ricki looks like you have fun job, you get people like this, all the time that come to your store, I guess it's never a dull, moment there then.

I always deal with these type of people at work.
I aam just use to having to stay later, or just stand there and play dumb.
