Dropped a pill - can't find it

I keep my daily pill container on my desk and take them as soon as I sit down every morning. I take 6 pills a day and usually just put them all in my hand and take them together. This morning one dropped out of my hand and I can't find it anywhere on the floor or under my desk. I've dropped a pill before but was always able to find it. Now, I have my 2 cats walking around and sometimes getting under my desk. I'm afraid if one of them finds it it will harm them in some way. None of my meds are very high mg's most being .05 which is very little plus they are very tiny pills. Should I worry about this? Could something bad happen to a cat if he swallows people meds? I'm still looking and can't find it.

Oh nooo! I hope you find it...just take your time. Sometimes when we get panicky we overlook things and it's right in front of us. I know I did this once too when I had my cat...it was my BP pill and I freaked out. I found it though before she did. Do you know what pill it was by any chance?

Since I just put them in my hand and throw them in my mouth I have no way of knowing what kind of pill it was. I'm still looking and hope to find it.

Are you wearing anything with pockets on? Or is there anything around, like slippers, that it could have fallen into? An open desk drawer? Just trying to help. Or maybe it flew further away than you think and is not close to the desk.

It depends on what the pill is and whether your cats are the sorts to hoover things. My cats would be more likely to bat a pill around for a while, and I would have the chance to retrieve and dispose of it before they got around to seriously contemplating whether ingesting it might be fun. I know this from experience, because I used to pill my late male dog; he had medication for his heart.

I don't take anything really bad. Mostly asthma, high blood pressure and aspirin. I think if they found it they would start batting it around. I'm still looking.

Aspirin is really bad for cats--very dangerous.

I suspect if one of your cats have found your pill they would have played with it, or chased it somewhere, nine times out of ten you will find it when you are not actually looking for it! I find that all the time, the more flustered and frustrated I get that I can't find something the harder it is to find, it could be anywhere. Usually it ends up in a totally bizarre place.

It was just under my desk and it was a very small one that I take and that's why it was so hard to find.

You n eed to determine which medication it was that you dropped. Then, call your vet and ask him if one of those pills would harm your cat.

I can't help with the lost one unless I am at your house helping you to look for it. I prefer to give my 2-cents on future dosage. Rather than pop them from you hand, throw them all into a small cup (or glass) and "drink" them into your mouth while your drown them with water. Hopefully, that might prevent dropping the pills in future. I assume you can "drink" safely, right? As for the cat...let's just hope it really has 9 lives. I hope if it really took it, that nothing bad happens.

No, it is not enough to destroy a cat. A cat is much stronger in resistance of food intake than human. But thanks your are a good person to be concern of another living.
