so goes the tag line of the many billboards of victoria in that have sprouted liek mushrooms in the metrpolis. clearly, this new ad campaign of the motel chain is working as they were in the news a couple of daya ago. san juan nepomuceno de malibay parish priest tony navarete voiced his complaint about the 'immorality' of the said billboards as it was 'inviting people to commit something bad or immoral'.
seriously? i haven't seen any of the actual billboards but i doubt that one billboard will lead me to destroy, plunder, or go on a murderous frenzy. anyway, i'll give it to the priest, victoria court isn't the first place that comes to mind when thinking of a place to have a party. in fact, the place is more connected to the kind of tryst that lasts for three hours or the longer version, twelve hours! anyway, perhaps this is what victoria court is aiming to accomplish with this ad campaign... make victoria court a hip and happening place for parties and get togethers of families and friends and not just of erring husbands and their mistresses and erring wives and their sugar daddies/boy toys!!!!
in one way, the billboard ads have accomplished something which is to create publicity for victoria court. the priest, no matter how good his intentions are, has only created a stir by calling victoria court out on national radio.
so my fellow mylotters, what's your take on the issue? are the billboard ads immoral as the priest claims or is this issue being blown out of proportion?
feel free to chime in everyone.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!
