About a man(Jim Carrey) who becomes obsessed with a novel he believes was written about him. He find so many similarities. Although the ending was kind of predictable- it was still very enjoyable to watch Carrey act in a thriller. He did quite well, and the supporting characters too. How the movie was shot was nice too- very fitting to the mood of each scene.

I watched it at work one year ago and I didn't catch half of the story because I was doing stuff and the movie was kinda playing in the background. I thought the beginning with a dog was kinda weird and out of tune with the rest of the movie. I haven't seen it to the very end but I find it interesting enough that I'll give it a proper watch.

Well, the dog kind of played a big part- since it was one of the reasons how he got the book in the first place... I guess it is not a very hard movie to follow since the plot is simple, even the twist is simple.

Yeah I need to watch it for real, I've seen maybe half of the movie while doing something else. I liked the noir parts tho

Yes, the noir parts were so much fun to watch-- i have not seen a lot of noir movies though, since i find them boring at times. But som of them had really good and interesting stories that i forget that they are black and white.

I saw this film afew months back and posted a discussion about it. It was sort of a weird movie. I think Carey did a very good job acting in this. I was pretty impressed. He is a very versitile actor.

I did not find it weird.. i loved how they shot some scenes- sort of dreamlike, like we are really in his imagination. And the soundtrack is quite good too. It wasn't the best thriller, but it was nicely done and the actors are good.
