Right after my kidney stone surgery they gave me meds to make me pee constantly then ten minutes later they were sending me home. I asked how I would possibly go home under all these meds including morphine they had just given me ten minutes prior to telling me to go home and I couldn't be away from a toilet more than 1 minute at the time. So they gave me a diaper. Now I had to make a joke out of the situation. I went to the bathroom put the diaper on and came out into my hospital room in front of hubby and nurses and did a very tipsy model walk with my diaper. I could barely see or stand straight with all the morphine in me. It was funny. Got to put a positive spin on everything.

Well that is the only thing you can do. BTW it's very common for doctors over here to send you home after a surgery, the moment you woke up with or without diapers. Back home you can see how to manage.

I hope your hubby wasn't stupid enough to take a video of it...

That is great that you were able to make light of something like this. When my husband had his second surgery for his kidney stones, they actually wouldn't allow him to leave the hospital until he had been off of the morphine for at least 12 hours. This meant that he had a longer stay at the hospital because he was in a lot of pain, but I also didn't have to watch him as closely when he finally was discharged from the hospital.
