12-man gilas Pilipinas team

Coach Chot Reyes already presented his 17 man roster for Gilas Pilipinas. This comprised of Douthit, Slaughter, Fajardo, Thoss, Williams, De Ocampo, Dillinger, Castro, Alapag, Aguilar, David, Chan, Norwood, Tenorio, Fonacier, Pingris and Reyes. It's tough to take 12 people from this group, they are all very skilled and are assets to the team. Who do you think must be included in the 12 man final team?

I hope Greg Slaughter, Japeth Aguilar and Junmar Fajardo except for Douthit will shoo in 12 man lineup. Big men are important to compete against powerhouse China and Iran. We have no problem at the guard. Jimmy Alapag must be a shoo in because he is dangerous. Kelly Williams and Gabe Norword are athletic and can defend opponents.

Why not also include Douthit? He is the most skilled center for all and also a natural center.

it is good to have more choices than limited choices. i like to have the 17 players from where the 12 players will be selected. for me, my 12-team gilas pilipinas members are douthit, slaughter, williams, de ocampo, dillinger, alapag, aguilar, tenorio, pingris, fonacier, reyes, and david. well, the team must have players who can play two positions. i hope we can qualify to the world basketball or olympics.

From this lineup, you have not chosen Fajardo, Norwood, Thoss, Chan and Castro. I guess you have to put in Norwood there for a bigger point guard. I would only chose one natural point guard either in Castro, Alapag or Tenorio. They are all good so it's hard to choose. Jeff Chan should be there in place for Fonacier for a taller shooter. Sonny Thoss for Mark Pingris. It would also be hard to choose from Fajardo or Slaughter.
