…can’t you open those counters?

It’s one of those dreadful days. I’m paying several bills and I chose to do it all in one day so at least, I could eat out and manage to stand for most of the day. As much as I am trying to save time paying these bills, I am getting frustrated at how some billing service conduct their services.
For one, everything has the same cut-off. Usually, the same cut-off applies to many services, usually utilities, like the 5th of the month. What I hate about this is that I have to contend with a lot of people like me who wants to pay as soon as possible. Of course, it will create long lines because people have the same date stamped on their bill statements.
Another thing that I’m not happy about is the empty counter in the billing center. I pay my bills in near the department store in SM (local mall which accepts payments for a umber of companies ). Although it is a great service, my moods turns sour when I see one counter is empty and a long line of payers is serviced by two to three working counters. If that empty counter is opened, surely, there will be more people served and less people on the line? Is that a display corner or what?
It could at least, lessen the volume of people and fewer nuisances for people entering that section of the mall. Isn’t that the point of this service? Then, why they are making it more efficient for the people?

I would call the company and tell them your delimna and see if there isn't another option for you. Sometimes you might be pleasantly surprised at the options you may not have thought about. I know how aggravating standing in line can be. I have a bad hip and standing around very long anywhere is not fun.

Good idea. I think the management should improve their services. if they sell convenience, the people in lien aren't exactly experiencing it.

I would call them to take care of this particular issue and then write the head office or manager a letter.

Oh my God... SM!!! What the! I have had a lot of issues with this company. They seem to have a bad habit to let their customers wait for as long as dear life. I have experienced about two hours of falling in line in their bank. And the manager was still looking as if the people are enjoying their time. To add insult to the customers... You can see a lot of tellers just chatting and possibly just looking at their screens pretending there are no people. Haaaa!!! Exactly the same feeling as you! They shouldn't have put in counters in there that they won't b be using anyway.

This is exactly what I don't like to see and experience. Seriously, people are taking their time to pay their bills. least they could do is provide a good service. if they want to chat or gossip, do that on a break! Don't care what kind of break it is but do it on a break. I don't have time for gossiping crew since I have bills to pay and otehr things that I can only do that day. Wait till they experience a line when they are paying.

Maybe they are trying to save on payroll due to additional manpower needed to man the counter and process the bill payments. You can call the attention of the management regarding this. Or maybe even cc the biller just so they know that people don't really want to pay past the overdue but some payment centers are making it difficult for the customers to pay on time.

I imagine some sort of spending cuts. After all, they have to employ people to man the services. i don't want to accuse anyone of conspiracy but I tihnk some companies make reap extra profit for such things like late fees. At least for the family, I got the duty to pay the bills because everybody's busy doing their jobs.

Hi jeanneyvonne.
Standing in line can be very boring at times frustrating. However, if I am not in a hurry I don't have any problem standing in a queue. I just play my music player and put my ear phones on. I do get irritated if it is very hot or there are lots of mosquitoes. And yes if you are standing at the end of one of those queues and you see that one of the counters is just empty. It also makes me curse the authority. And if I find someone I even complain them verbally on how inefficient their procedure is.
Anyways have a nice day!!!

Thanks. I just hope somebody would be wise enough to be considerate of the people in line. We want to pay our bills and do our duty but lousy service can drain the patience of anyone who like to pay their dues.
