If you are eating now, I think you have to stop reading this discussion, because this is about the Maggots. I have watched this one time from Ripley’s believe it or not (hehehe long time ago), anyway, still remember it now (such a good memory ehem!).

Yes, those maggots are live and help to heal deep wounds by cleaning them. Ewww gross, such disgusting. Yes it could be disgusting but these maggots were sterile larvae of Blue Bottle Fly or blow fly (

I agree with you, maggots, flies and mosquitos are food for lizards and frogs, which is feed to birds. etc. lol the circle of life as what Lion King says

Amazing...!!!
They used as hook to catch fish. When i get hurt I immediately apply turmeric powder to stop the blood then apply some anticeptic cream.. Cant even imagine about maggots.. But really thanx for sharing such information.. Will try someday.. :-P

Yes, no they are not the ones we use to catch fish...what you are thinking probably are the earthworms. Maggots are houseflies's larvae.
Don't try it, because it is done by the professionals and the larvae they are using are all sterilized. so... "clean"

Seriously, all I know about maggots are they are eating flesh and not heal wounds. I saw a lot of pics fb and videos in youtube about this but it's only from your post I learned they heal wounds. If I imagine them in my wound they'd be tickling me but a bit painful..naahhh, I'll just go to old medicinal ways, wash it with hot boiled water of guava leaves or pour my wounds with antibiotic powder

but this really cures people with diabetes. and save their leg from amputation.
