Lucy should have chopped the ring off

I'm a day behind because I'm having to watch on the Internet. So the last episode I saw ended with Caleb on the floor with the arrow in his chest and the ring glowing. So I assume that it brings him back to life and that Lucy's confusion and giving up was a mistake. She had the right idea and should have cut the ring off with the axe when she had the chance.

I thought that to...she knew and even John read that the ring is life to the vampire..yet she left it on his hand! I was really shocked that they did this, but then again...taking the ring means the total end to the story...so maybe they left it so they could carry on with it another time..or maybe it isnt' over yet! Maybe next week,, he'll show up again and Raf will kill him. Or they'll just end it and next year, bring it back! But to make Lucy seem like she now realizes she was just stupid or delusional with all this..that is just a slap in the face to the character. She wouldnt' be Lucy without this story, so end it appropriately. But the way the zoomed in on the ring yesterday...I take that to mean that they aren't done yet. He will rise again...and I would prefer he rise now and then maybe go off into the night to recop and come back in later years, than to have him killed off now. But thena gain... how many times can they bring back a story like this...not to many I dont think, so having Rafe kill Caleb, his vampire father, now and make release Rafe of all the mayham, would be the best way to end it. BECAUSE....since he is Calebs son...if they want to reboot the vampire storyline...they can do it with Rafe! And since Sam was bitten twice..they could also us that! It was odd that Caleb was able to catch that arrow when Lucy shot it if he wasn't a vampire. I mean; a normal man couldn't have caught that arrow. And just cause John took his teeth out...vampires only extend their teeth when they are going to bite someone... but since vampires are not real...this is one of those stories that I like cause they have thought, intrigue and imagination to them and not the same old boring stories they currently have! And it seems a waste to end it now anyway....look at all the time and effort, intrigue and suspense they have put into this. Be a shame to just end it so non-climaticly!
