After we transferred to a new house, I have noticed that my labrador has become very noisy or communicative. During the first three days he kept on barking and barking especially in the evening. It was obvious that he was still trying to get adjusted to the new place. Then just when he had started to settle, my two other dogs came (for they were moved in a few days after) and he started communicating with them again by barking. He soon settled down after two days but now I notice that he would now bark to ask for his food. In the morning I would give them food and he would already start to remind me about it when I wake up. He stops barking only when I feed him. Then he does that again at lunch and dinner. He is so adorable. Does your dog also do the same thing?

What your labrador did was quite different from the dog I had. My family did have a few dogs and we have no idea what species they are. They never barked for food though. Instead when they are hungry, they will just sit down and sleep. They won't be moving much, and when we are close to them, they would come towards us and look at us. Some kind of non verbal communication trying to let us know that they were hungry.

I hope your animals have well and truly settled in now my friend, I guess it's a big shock to them, and in their own ways they are telling you, if only we could learn how to interpret our pets and exactly what they are saying to us. Hopefully just teething troubles and they will be back to their old selves pretty soon.

I am glad you still find it adorable. In time, you're going to find the constant barking annoying. Yet, I hope this won't happen in your labrador's case.
I think you rewarded him for barking (without even knowing you were) so he learnt he gets what he wants when he barks.
Do your other two dogs bark more, too? @Pegasus72 (1898)

Our dog Princess Goliath, she is a Saint Bernard likes to get in bed with me in the morning for a little cuddle, or in her case a big cuddle, then licks my face when she is ready to go downstairs and be fed.

Hi Cutie Yes I have a Golden Retriever and she has really been barking but someone told me it is because spring is coming and it is common for dogs to bark. In your case it could be because it is new surroundings for your dog.

I hope that your dog soon gets used to your new house. My dogs had trouble getting used to a new mat. I take it off the floor in the night time. Secret my male dog barks when someone goes past our bungalow. It was a nightmare when I had a builder working in my kitchen for one month. Every movement or banging noise he would bark. He barks when I bring my son home from school. He knows it is doggy feeding time then.
The builder gave me a bell that I ring when Secret barks. That is to try curb all the noisy barking. Good luck.
