I Need Advice and Tips on Composing

I play the guitar and keyboard. I play well despite the fact that I didn't have any formal training or education in music. I am a music lover but I only play Christian songs specifically Contemporary Christian Music and Praise and Worship songs. I have it in my heart to compose songs. In fact I already started with three songs. But I am not very confident because there are a lot of very good composers out there and I really feel insecure. Are there composers out there generous and kind enough to teach me and give advice and tips on composing? Do I need an arranger? How do musical arrangers do things?
