Attention Golden Retriever Owners...

Hello, dog lovers like me! I wish you well and hope you continue to have fun with your lovey dovey dogs. We're moving in to our new house next year. Construction is ongoing right now. One of the considerations we thought of in looking for, and finally buying a new house was our two huge dogs...how will they continue to enjoy being house dogs with the new house. In fact, we made sure there will be a room downstairs where my husband or I could stay during the night because my 10-year old bulmastiff could no longer make even just a step upstairs, which makes me a very sad dog-owner. They're both afraid to lose sight of us during the night when it's time to sleep already. They both sleep in our room. Now, we're planning to purchase a Golden Retriever when we finally have the house completed. Any advice you could give me? I don't want to regret later that I did buy a Golden giving in to my husband's prodding.

Golden Retriever are such good and lovely dogs especially when trained properly they would never be a problem except that they eat a lot and grow fast too.

Thank you for sharing your psrsonal knowledge of this breed of dog.if this is the case, there will be three of them already that I need to feed every now and then. My two bullmastiffs are voracious and they seem to be always hungry.

haha.. I know. But although we spend a lot more for their food rather than our food, they are really great companions in life.
