I have just started listening to her songs... i don't really now how to describe them, they sound quite nice and i am currently hooked. But i only like very few of her songs, like Gos and Monster and Blue Jeans. I heard she was discovered in youtube too, can you suggest some of her best songs.

Her voice really annoyed me when I first heard her songs. So monotone, spaced out and kinda bored. Most of her sons have very similar theme, they are full of cliches and the lyrics are sometimes very cheesy. But she grew on me somehow and now I'm really digging the style. She has only 2 studio albums so just get them both. Favorite songs? Born to Die, Video Games, Mermaid Motel, Ride, Cola, Yayo...

I have those, and i only like 2 of her songs.. Yeah, her voice is ind of bored and sleepy, not much range.. i guess what i like more is the rhythm and all that background.. her lyrics are a bit repetitive too...

heh, it's not like those 2 especially differ from the rest of the album. Yeah you ca really tell that there goes much thought and care into the composition of background and the production is on the highest level. It's especially noticeable in "Ride".

Yes, i do love Ride.. some of her other songs have really weird titles though, and some are funny. Like Cola, Mountain Dew... Yayo?

I have not heard of this singer at all. maybe she is just not my type of singer, although i do love slow songs and ballad. Thanks for recommending her- unintentionally. i shall try and check her out.

Maybe you will like her, since she sings slow songs.. although they might be boring to some.. since she sounds sleepy in some of her songs.. But it'd be nice if you give it a try. She has lots of songs that you can easily look up on youtube.
