The email from my online friend made me very happy

Today I received an email from one of my online friends. She wrote that she had been thinking a lot about me recently because she knew that I developed a depression when we returned from Asia. She also wrote that our friendship was very important to her that she considered me a very close friend despite the fact that we have never met face-to-face. Her email made be very happy, because I feel the same way. We have been online friends since 2007 and we have exchanged many, many emails since that time. She also has a mental illness and we are very open about ourselves and we share our happiness and our problems.
Do you have a close friend that you only know through the internet? How long have you been in touch?

It is great that the two of you have shared the same feeling about your friendship and that you can spend many years being best friends on the net I hope that you have settled in a little and that your life is getting a little better on your return back from Asia

Yes, our friendship is very important to me. When we started excchanging emails in 2007 I didn't imagine that we would stay in touch for 6 years and become very close friends because our first emails were quite short and we didn't really talk much about ourselves at that time. Today I consider her a very close friend 
When we returned from Asia I had depression, and my mood is not completely stable yet, but I am feeling better. The sun is shining and it seems like spring is on its way and that helps, too.

Well a friendship will always take time to grow as you well know and I am glad that you have made such a friend and I am glad that you are getting better weather and in hopes that you will be able to soon go out and enjoy the day

Good for you. We can all use good friends who understand what we're going through and who supports us. I think she's a keeper and given the chance and opportunity, you two should try to meet up.
I also have a guy friend that I met when I was working in Dubai. He's from NY and he is the reason how I ended up knowing my husband. But now that I am also living here now in the US, we haven't gotten a chance to see each other face to face. But we always communicate either through chats of Facebook.

Yes, it could be great to meet her one day, maybe I will be able visit her in her town in the future. We have already been online friends for several years and we get along really well online so it could be interesting to see if we would get along offline as well. Based on our emails I think that we would get along, but you never know, sometimes things are different when you meet in person. When we started exchanging emails I didn't know that we would become as close as we are today. Facebook is a good way to keep in touch when you aren't able to meet in person. Maybe you and your friend will also get the chance to meet face to face one day.

It is lovely that your close on-line friend feels the same as you. I know it is wonderful that her email made me feel very happy. It is wonderful that you share your problems so hopefully they are easier to solve. You love to travel and you adored your trip to Asia in February. I think that the cold climate must have got to you when you got back home again. I loved visiting my dear My Lot friend that lives in Chile in March 2012.

That could be the sweetest thing one could ever received from an online friend. It is not impossible to have someone whom you can consider as a close friend even though you haven't seen each other.

Glad to hear that you have a friend online, that understands what you are going through. I have a great friend. He live about 6-7 hours from me here. I hope to meet him in person some day.

i have an online friend with whom i've chatted and exchanged emails since 2002. although we don't chat like we used becausee now we live in different time zones, we update each other on our lives. he has even invited my son and i to visit him and his wife in HK. i certainly plan to, if and when i go there.

You and your online friend have been in touch for a very long time. I think that it is great that you have kept in touch for so long. I hope that you will get the chance to visit him and his wife one day I am sure that would be a memorable experience. I have met some of my online friends from my own country. I am from a small country so it was easy for us to meet if we were from the same country. I would love to meet some of my online friends from other countries as well, but that requires more money and more planning!

Hi ! I got a close friend and he is a lifeline of mine . He is not just a mere online friend but he is very very special to me. We exchange life and soul. It was such a very amazing and beautiful relationship. We talk as if we are not online , we talk like we are in front of each other . He is a bliss ! I am privilege to have him. A day won't passed if we can't talk or drop a message.
