Clicking on posts, responses and comments no longer triggers a new browser tab

Hi everybody! You can follow this new myLot account for the latest news on bug fixes and new releases. Report a bug to the development team by mentioning @myLotBugs in one of your posts, responses or comments. We just released a fix that prevents new browser tabs from being opened when you click on posts, responses and comments. We know this was annoying! It was coded this way initially because the "infinite scrolling" broke the browser's back button behavior. However.... We've now implemented a workaround that keeps the browser's back button functionality working, so there's no longer a need to open items in a new window. It's not perfect, but it's much better than before, so the user browsing experience should be improved by quite a bit. If you notice anything funny going on, just mention @myLotBugs in one of your posts and we'll take a look at it.

It would be useful to have a reference list of bugs which have already been notified (maybe marked when they have been fixed). If it's just a simple HTML page it wouldn't be too difficult to edit as required and it could well live under the roof of "Help". That way, we should, at least, have a reference point to send people to when they complain for the nth time that something isn't working - e.g. the 'Website' box in Profiles - and if the item is no longer there (or scored through), we'll know that it's been addressed.

I'm with PhredWreck and FrugalMommy -- I actually liked that feature. I always open links in new tabs because I sometimes go off on tangents and lose my original place -- sorta like losing my train of thought. Ah... there's just no pleasing everybody, is there?

@mylotBugs - I am unable to access new version of mylot on my Samsung smart phone or Nokia (Symbian platform) phone. I was able to open older version of mylot on my mobile handsets. Could this matter be looked into.

Never mind... had to toss my cookies and log in again, but it's working now.
