Writing is a way for Lera Chenchevaya not only to record her experiences, but also to express her feelings and creativity. Always toting a notebook wherever she goes, Lera Chenchevaya never misses out on the chance to jot down her observations and her interpretations about the people she meets, the places she visits and the adventures she commonly enjoys with the members of her family.
Lera Chenchevaya understands how powerful creative expression can be, not only as a cathartic exercise, but also as the opportunity to learn more about her own personal feelings and understanding of the world, and of the various people that occupy it. Her notebook is filled with an endless array of both observation and of poetry, an art form she has come to respect and develop a strong skill in. Though she understands that creative expression comes in many varied forms, writing, at least for her, is perhaps the best and only way to effectively understand her world, and to share her experiences with others.
Lera Chenchevaya has accumulated several books of poetry, many of which focus on her observations of the many cultures and places she’s been fortunate to witness over the course of her travels. Though her poetry has yet to be published, and she has no literary agent, she plans to one day test the market with her prose, and to see if her writing has any real commercial viability. It isn’t the money that Lera Chenchevaya is after, nor is it the recognition. For her, the opportunity to inspire and enlighten is enough motivation to release her prose onto the world.
