No...most didn't ask to be poor...didn't ask for minimum wage that can't support a family...didn't ask for a poor education so that they had better skills to get a better job. Life is what it is..and rich or poor everyone has feelings.

If the rich people bought more houses wouldn't that help our housing problem? Think how many people need to sell their house. They do pay taxes on these houses. Hey I think the McCain's should buy a few more, Obama too!

Okay that was strange...I was on a completely different discussion and when I submitted my response it brought me here. So sorry, I have no Idea how that happened at all. A glitch in the system I guess.

I never create any distinction between the rich and the poor. It should always be remembered that they are also created by the same god who has created the rich.

No, because they might not be poor by how they spend money. They might struggling because to help out family members or something.

one never know what brought that person to the point they are at now--all humans deserve respect regardless --lazy may mainfest itself because of depression or an illness-unless we get into their life we would not know---a lack of birth control could be because of finances or lack of education or a religious belief....to develop a nonjudgemental attitude would require expending energy on our part to look beyond the obvious and care about these poeple and get involved.....

No, not at all. People become poor for many reasons. I am disappointed by those who don't take advantage of the opportunities to improve their lot in life.

No, certainly not as this can happen to each one of us ..Circumstances can change in a heartbeat BUT I despise people who never tried to do anything to change their situation and doing else than living of welfare, begging money etc ..
