why do we blink?..we blink all day long,soo many times per day but we don't even realise it anymore..some blink very often..some can last long withouth blinking...but have you ever wondered why can't we keep our eyes open withouth blinking?..i do sometimes

That´s the way that our body found to don´t let our eyes get dry. All of us always blink.

hmm ok,that could be a good reason:)..but why do some people blink more often than the others?:)

I think blinking is a way to keep our eyes clean. imagine all the dust which must be floating around! Blinking is necessary for us so that we don't get all clogged up with dust.
I don't know if anyone else will have noticed this but I'm sure people who wear glasses don't blink as much as those who don't wear them. I guess either, they don't blink so much because their glasses help to keep dust and dirt out of their eyes or they naturally don't blink so much and that is a reason why they needed glasses. I don't know about that, it's just a theory!

Have you ever noticed that when you talk about blinking you blink more.. i think it is a way of keeping eyes clean and not to let them dry out..

yes as i was posting the discussion i noticed i started blinking faster haha
