If you are a creative person than you will most certainly use this text as a sort of a guide. There are thousands of useful ideas on how to make your home a better place, without any great impact to the home budget. All you need to do is to take some tools and make it yourself using some old things from your home. We have chosen seven "Do It Yourself" ideas, which we found most useful. Enjoy!
Round Tower Rug: If you have some old bath towels, there is no need to throw them away. You can always cut them with scissors, braid them and finalize them with sewing. In the end, you are going to get some beautiful, soft bathmats.
Braided Doormat: Another interesting way to decorate the house entrance or bathroom door. Those are not the usual places for decoration, but why not? In the end, everyone has to pass through your front door and go to the bathroom sometimes, so this details can be a good way to impress your guests. You don't need some special skills in sewing, but highly recommend you to practice a little bit on some smaller versions, before starting the main project.
Pom Pom Rug: Pom Pom is one of the newest trends, since designers started placing them on everything they can. They are warm, soft and smooth on touch, and thus the best thing to place your foot on. You can use it to refresh your carpet and also if you use different colors, you can add a feeling of joy to your home.
Cork Bath Mat: Wine bottles are usually recycled, but corks always find their way into the trash. Well it doesn't have to be that way anymore. There was one really simple, but pretty genius idea to use the corks for a bath mat. Just find some shadow box and place the corks in it. It will feel awesome, look awesome and it is pretty resilient.
Woodgrain Rug: This one is one of the simplest to make and one of the best looking ideas we could find. All you need is one plain rug, cardboard, scissors and spray paint. Cut any pattern you like on the cardboard, place it on the rug and spray. It will add a note of uniqueness, because no one will have a rug like yours.
Zebra Print Rug: My friend always loved animal print, especially tiger and zebra pattern. I never even tried to understand that before seeing this artistic creation. Everything you need to make it is a piece of drop cloth, base pain, paint brushes, pencil, permanent marker, scissors and an iron. You can use any paint you like, but we found the metallic gold paint to be the best looking for this kind for accessory. But be careful, animal designs can't be used everywhere.
Type Rug: This is something that looks really hard to do. Actually everything you need is a little bit of imagination, old carpet, cutting mat and utility knife. The final product looks amazing, it is basically an irregular shaped rug and it refreshes the room giving it more edgier design.
