Being aware of your surroundings and what's going on near you is not only good for self protection and self preservation, it's also is good for your wallet! My wife always said I was to distrustful and paranoid. Almost every day, there are stories like this that show that it a good idea to protect yourself and your interests. Unfortunately, being distrustful is a necessity in modern society. I believe in the basic good in people but keep very vigilant of the bad.
