Well, I don't drink often but I am quite enjoying my pear cider with coconut and lime. I've just got the one drink. I've been naughty today. I usually eat and drink well. I don't think I had joined Slimming World before I left MyLot so, for those who don't know, I've lost 5 and a half stone in just under 2 years. Of course, while that hasn't meant giving up anything I enjoy, it has meant cutting down. Well, since I've been driving (since 2009) or maybe even before that, I've hardly drank alcohol at all. I don't mind. I would usually prefer to drive than drink anyway. Last time I had a drink, I drank too much and was ill most of the night and the next day. Apart from that, the night was enjoyable! Today, I've been out for a late lunch with my youngest and, because I've been super good with my eating habits, I'm having a bit of a pig-out today. I've still mostly eaten healthily but I did have a nice pudding and now I'm drinking my cider, and I have some sweets and chocolate because I really fancied them! I've got a nice, healthy dinner planned for tomorrow though. Well, that's my life in this current moment! TTFN

I am on my diet again myself. I have no choice. I am diabetic so I need to watch what I eat period. I am hoping to lose some weight and start feeling better.

I also recommend Slimming World. Apart from the fact that it's the only thing that's worked for me, it's not actually a diet and it is suitable for diabetics :)

@inertia4 Well, apart from the low carbs, that's pretty much what Slimming World is! And you can do a low carb version of it too. But yes, go with what the doc says. Saying that, most GPs aren't trained in nutrition and SW is the only 'commercial diet' recommended by doctors. Not that I'm promoting it, just saying!

@pumpkinjam I will look into it. But I am going by what my doctor says. Mainly no carbs or sugar. But lots of vegetables. So, I have been doing my best.

If I had just one drink (like you are right now), I would want 8 more. Which is why I don't tease myself with only one. I know better. But you have fun, I envy people who can have one drink and then move on.

Well, I only had one and the shop would have been closed by the time I finished it! I'm also too lazy to walk around the corner to a different shop! So laziness has its advantages :)
