Buggy Script

Okay, I have tried some solutions, but they have not fixed the problem. I keep getting the message that a script on the page is not responding. You may cancel the script, debug the script or something else. None of the choices help and it keeps coming back. I did a malware scan, I did some searching and it was suggested that I needed to download a new version of Firefox, so I did and I thought it fixed it, but it came back so I reinstalled AdBlockPlus, knowing that I will have to selectively allow ads on some sites. I still get the message--help!

From my own experience, the latest versions of Firefox (mozilla) are quite crap. They drain out the memory of the computer and also falter many a times with modern websites. I would suggest that you try working on Chrome and if possible find a lower version (between 25-30) in case you feel more comfortable with Mozilla Firefox.

I get this all the time, too. It's not usually the function of any particular website (I find that MyLot hardly ever causes trouble); it's more often likely to be a problem, I believe, with an older PC with a slower processor and smaller internal working space.
I do use AdblockPlus (but have to turn it off to use MyLot properly) but I also use NoScript, which allows one to turn off scripts or select which scripts are allowed to run. I can't say that either of these add-ons has much effect on Unresponsive Script errors.

I updated something, not sure what, and this started. I never had problems before. My computer is pretty new, less than two years old. I am still doing research, but I have been assured that it is not malware. I think it is getting out of hand, making me hate my computer.
