Deadly Ecosystem

We have a delicate and well balanced ecosystem on this planet we call earth. As it is already, we humans have started to hinder that ecosystem. He have already destroyed some elements of this well balanced ecosystem of ours. And humans are the most dangerous creatures to ever walk the face of this planet. And though we have come a long way from our barbaric past, we are still in the beginning stages of our simple little existence. But, lets look at one element of this ecosystem of ours. Lets take insects. I am bringing this up because every time I read about our ecosystem, they always mention insects and how they affect our world.
What would it be like in this world without insects? Yes, would I love it if there were no more insects around? You bet you like I would love it. But would the planet love it. The short answer is no. After reading an article about this, you can see how vital insects are to our world and ecosystem. How, without them we would have hardly no existence at all. In fact, we may not even exist without those pesky little creatures we call bugs. It seems that the elimination of insects would cause the elimination of a bunch of other creatures to exist as well. Such as Frogs, Lizards, birds and so many more who actually have a diet of these insects.
it does not end there. There would also be no pollination, so we would lose some crops. There would be no natural waste removal, such as some garbage that would naturally be turned into compost by these insects. Now, reading this I thought, wow, it is amazing how these little annoying insects really do help complete the ecosystem we have. Imagine, just one insect being gone, like the bee. The main bug that pollinates most of those plants. And we already are seeing a lack of bees across the world. Is this the beginning of the end? Are humans responsible for these bees dying off? Well, these are questions that have yet to be answered properly.
On my personal opinion, I believe, as a result of humans raping the land and killing off plant life to build, using fossil fuels to fuel our world, I think this all adds to the elimination of some insects we have, such as the bees. Ultimately, I believe what I have always said, Man will be his own worst enemy and man will wind up destroying himself.

Many of our forests have been depleted by acid rain ,which puts many animal and plant species on the verge of extinction.Something we have done amounts to throwing stones at our own houses .

@changjiangzhibin89 But the future will not exist at some point, so all those profits will become totally wasted.

@inertia4 We call it "catch the fish by draining the pool," which means that sacrifices future profit to present gains.

I meant the people in the ecosystem do not seem to be behaving very smartly. Some are for example after things like wealth without responsibility or care about the children's future .
Check out the resources on this page to see what you can do to help bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

"Imagine, just one insect being gone..." Many are probably already gone and they even were not known by us. I was amazed to learn from a zoologist that 80% of new species discovered every year were insects. About 1000 new insects described/year !
Insects can also be predators for other insects. Actually the Asian hornet is invading my country since 10 years. Maybe they came first with a boat, but they settled and are gaining ground every year. 10 more years and they will be everywhere in France. You were speaking of bees. Hornets like honey and are predators for bees. Bees were accustomed to the European hornet which is smaller than the Asian hornet and does not attack them often. The Asian hornet is fearsome for them and attacks any beehive around his nest. Beekeepers have tried quiet everything to kill Asian hornets, from traps to drones against hornet nests. And you know what ? One of the best solution they found is ecological. They remembered that in the past beekeepers were breeding chickens near beehives. The chickens are afraid by guardian bees and they don't go too close of the beehives. But when a hornet is near a beehive and prepares to attack it, they eat it !
I would give you more examples like this one, but it is already too long. Insects are a fascinating subject and we have still a lot to learn about the ecosystem !

Give them a rope and they will hang themselves as the old saying goes.

We really have done some damage to this planet, it's sad, but there is always hope for a future.

Hope yes, but are we still able to fix it? That is the real question. As it is already, scientists feel that the planet shifted from it's normal orbit on it axis. So that's partly why I think we are having some different weather patterns around the globe.

We humans are well on the way to doing just what you said here-destroying ourselves.

I don't know the full extent of the damage we have done just as most of us do not because we won't be given the full spectrum of it. Media would never allow that. It is going to take more than the individual to make a difference but it has to start with the individual movement. This is the trouble that we are having now, there needs to be something done but it has to start with us, and then, it has to make the governments move as well.

We need to overthrow the big machine first. Meaning, the federal reserve which, by the way, owns the major oil companies and the major banks. That is the root of the problems we face today. They will not let go of their reins. If we were to take down the machine, we would all be better off in this world.
