Slackers!

It really irritates me to no end!
I work in retail, so in many cases you work with a wide selection of people with different personalities, and age ranges.
I have always worked in retail since I got my first official job at 15. Now even then I always had to keep busy, I couldn't sit still. Even at home I can't just sit down and do nothing. As you can tell I am on here making money, or entering contests.
Some of the people I work with are rather lazy, they stand around talking, and need to be told what to do or else they wont do it. Yet, nothing is been said to them they just ignore it. The past few weeks I have been stressed out, and just feeling off. The one manager left numerous notes stating I wasn't doing opening procedures properly. It just made me mad, I come in at 7am having to clean up after the afternoon shift as they don't do their jobs, anything they ask me I do, and I changed my meds literally a walking zombie and they make it seem like I don't do anything.
Have you work in retail? How do you handle slackers?

I am working in a call center (internet, phone, cable, home security provider), and basically 70% of the agents dont do there job or process what to process properly, like if the customer needs to have an appointment with a technician and the last agent who took the call didnt process it properly, and when the customer called back to verify the appointment then suddenly you found out that the appointment wasn't process properly, basically you need to tell the truth to the customer that the appointment wasn't process properly, off course the customer will blame you on the mistake of the last agent, and suddenly you are handling an irate customer already. The buttom line is that I just take what they said and eat it, then report the last agent to my supervisor who screwed up (even you report it nothing will happend!!)

I never worked in retail. I know I would never get along with those kinds of people. However I have worked many jobs where there were slackers. And I used to be looked at like why am I making them look bad. I say screw them. When I was young I had endless engr. also. And I always had to be doing something. and I did, regardless of what others said.

I know what you mean. I would never be a boss I just like to be a worker and do my job without having the pressure of having staff. You can only do your best at work no matter what others say although it makes it difficult when others don't. Wish you all the best hang in there.
