Proofreading fail

When I publish content on any site, even a simple comment on a forum, I tend to proofread what I've written over and over again until I'm satisfied that it's correct. Even so, mistakes do creep through, like the comment I made on someone's discussion here where I said "I'm a very organised person", omitting the all-important word NOT and leading people to think I'm totally different to the person I really am.
Last night I submitted a short post to a site where posts have to be approved before they're published. Sometimes their admin edits them first and in this case he decided to add a bit of information to my post. Imagine my horror when I read the line "A 3-year-old man is arrested"! Fortunately I was still able to go back and fix it.
Have you made any silly mistakes because you didn't proofread what you'd written properly?

@Gina145 I am always saying this. What is hard is when you are writing an article or book and there is nobody to read what you have written for you. I resort to making a recording and using libre office' s "make PDF as I pick up mistakes on those in a way I don't on a word processor.

Oh, I so hate when that happens! What's worse is that it seems to happen all the time...no matter how much I proofread it! I always seem to miss something!

I have done that before, and it is really embarrasing after I had submitted it to see the mistakes I had made. It is a wonder anyone could read it, as the words I was trying to type, all came out wrong, and that is becasue at the beginning of the comment, Ihad my fingers on the wrong keys. I really should have dited it and fixed it, but I just left it. I haven't seen any others like that though, as I usually correct them as I am typing them.
