Suffering from brain damage, or maybe just sleep deprivation..

Last night I just couldn't sleep. Didn't get to bed until after midnight, and I don't do sleep deprivation well at all. I woke up, and ate and read the paper, and then I woke Cary up. I got dressed, made lunch and then got on the computer because I had a little time.
Only I didn't. I called to Cary and asked if he was ready, and he came running upstairs, "Mom, it's 7:27".
Oh f*ck, today is an early day, and I rushed out without kissing Tony. School starts at 7:30 for Cary Tuesday through Thursday. Monday is our late day.
So I dialed the school, and pulled out and left a message that Cary was going to be late because my car wouldn't start (bad Dawn). Got him there, after telling him, if it's past time to be going, LET me know.
Naomi would have told me, but she slept in this morning because she had a doctor appointment. Which is a story for another discussion.

I've been keeping myself busy so i won't take naps during the day cause then i can't sleep rested at night..plus sadly i have to avoid chocolate..What is the world coming to when i can't eat brownies at night?..hahaha

For once in our entire school life, we weren't late today! I made the kids get up early (wasn't easy) and I made us be out that door early. I just knew parking would be BAD around our school, and I got there just before the madness. Wow, Cary starts early on those days. How about Fridays?

I have never been late at school. At least unintentionally
. During my last year at high school, my Monday was starting with a maths lesson, and I had decided with a few others that it would be better for us to have a coffee in a bar to speak about our week-end and to gossip, than to start the week with an hour of maths

I think it's the first time we've ever been late because I've been confused about the time. Last semester we had traffic that was so bad, we were late.

@dawnald I was tempted to say that I'm lucky I don't have to get up early, but in truth I think it would be better for me if I was forced to keep 'normal' hours. Being a night owl really interferes with some important aspects of my life and I want to change but don't have the discipline to do it.

If I accidentally nap in the evening then I can't sleep at night. I'm not a good sleeper, never was.
