Federer wins in Cincinnati

I've just watched Roger Federer beat Novak Djokovic in the final of the Western & Southern Open tennis tournament. Though at heart I'm a fan of Rafael Nadal, I've always had a soft spot for Federer because his mother comes from South Africa, so I was really happy with this result. Are you a tennis fan? Who is your favourite player?

I haven't watched tennis in many many years. I mean, way back when we were watching the temper tantrums of Jimmy Connors and John MacEnroe. I guess I like the drama.

@Rollo1 I loved watching them too. I think that if my Mom had to pick an all-time favourite she would definitely go for McEnroe. The game was more exciting back then.

@Gina145 I agree, it was the excitement factor. There were even some golfers who were exciting to watch, and golf is a snooze as a spectator sport. I enjoyed watching the Grand Prix today, but I don't watch a lot of sports these days.

@Rollo1 I don't watch the Grand Prix. The only sports I really watch are tennis and cricket - the latter mainly when the South African team are in action. But neither is as exciting as it once was. Maybe it's just a case of having watched too much, so that nothing feels new any more.
