Would you live with a ghost?

I watched The Ghost and Mrs. Muir again recently. Gene Tierney and George Sanders, Rex Harrison. It is the story of a widow set in the 19th century who moves out of her in-laws home after her husband dies. She chooses to buy a cottage by the sea that the realtor tries to talk her out and finally ..... that the place is supposedly haunted. She takes the place anyway. It is haunted by a sea captain who befriends her. She loses the dividends she was getting from some investments of her husband and is going to lose the cottage and have to back to living with her in-laws when the ghost comes up with the perfect solution. She would write his memoir. It is a great movie and it became a series for awhile back in the 60's I believe. But I was thinking what if you moved into a place and found it to be haunted? Would you stay or run out of the place screaming?

I stayed about 3 years in a haunted house. I was not believing in ghosts before I rented it. The landlord told me that it was haunted, but I did not believed him. I did not saw anybody, but I heard several times footsteps on wood stairs and floors, and slammed doors. One night the ghost did a lot of noise in my kitchen and it was a bit frightening, however it was only noise, and nothing was moving.

@celticeagle I was a believer since the night I heard somebody walking from one side of my bedroom to another and doing it again. I switched on the light, and there was nobody visible, but I was still hearing the footsteps near my bed. I asked myself if I should find another house or not, and finally I decided to stay. I have often heard this ghost (about twice a month) when I was living in this house. I had never heard one before and I have never heard one since I left. Yes, now, I believe in ghosts.

Despite not believing in ghosts, if such a scenario existed it would not bother me unduly. To be fair, it is the living that we should fear the most.

I certainly agree. Ghosts have a bit of a problem even touching a human. They can't do a lot of damage. Some can cause harm but rarely.
