9 years in the internet world

I have been connected with the virtual world since the last 9 years - so many sites, so many people. They come, they go sometimes leaving behind indelible memories but mostly they are transitory passengers in my life. When a site closes most connections vanish into thin air.
Sad but true.

@allknowing It is very common in human life. We got used to it and have to adjust accordingly. The internet life doesn't change much from real there must be only one difference we don't see few people on internet.

The Q&A forum of Rediff was my first virtual world. I was there for 3 years. They were mostly Indians but I did get a friend who is in my life now. She is from the UK. Imagine of the hundreds of connections I managed to get just one friend.

@allknowing This might be common. It time and dedicated communication to establish a friendship and of course something else.

Yes connections can vanish when a site closes.
For me tho, the transition between the old and new myLot site provided a way to keep connections otherwise lost.

I do not get emotionally connected which becomes easy to connect with new members.
