If a spouse was failing to pay court order child support. Hiding out to prevent having to pay. You knew of a recent death in the spouses family. You knew they would be at the funeral home. Would you have them arrested at the funeral home or wait for another opportunity?

I think I would use it as an opportunity to locate the defaulter. I would not want them arrested at the service, though.

When it comes to arresting a culprit no matter what the guilt is there is no choosing a place to arrest them.

I understand that. Cops can't choose where they arrest someone. I do think it is more of a moral dilemma, if a parent chooses to inform the authorities where their kids non paying parent is is at to have them arrested.

I would wait for another opportunity. That's a time to pray and pay respects to a loved one. Some people just don't think or have common sense.

If they're hiding out to prevent having to pay, they probably don't have anything to pay anyway, otherwise the court would be garnishing wages or something, so I don't see the point. Sounds more like a revenge thing thing than a practical way to get them to pay.
