The Lady with Whips, Vodka and more

Long back, when I was new at MyLot, I had made a friend - a Lady who always used emoticons.
She was always fond of Vodka and would never hesitate in making use of her whip. She was my Fourth friend here at MyLot.
There was something thing common to most of her discussions - happiness, life and fun.
She would always use "sweetie" to address many and had love and care for many around.
Of the many friends I miss from the earlier MyLot, she is quite dear to me.
Maybe her not being around, is the reason I feel as a newbie here, today.
Does anyone has any update on her.

@LadyDuck you are a new member here. So I pretty sure you would not know her. I am unsure if she was there at Bubs. But yes, she was on Facebook for a while. And then she went into oblivion.
And I will not play confusing here. I am not discussing about Sandra. The one I am talking about is from South Africa.

Some people - old faces - have re-organised their lives, some may still feel hurt from the blow they experienced when MyLot changed its policy (it was very sudden and many people felt very bitter about it) and many would not accept the new website design under any circumstances. There are quite a few whom we miss and who know about the 'rebirth' but will not come back. That's sad, of course, but inevitable.

I think you mean saphrina! I did look her up and saw that she was not active here. I wonder if anyone has kept in touch with her elsewhere? I would love to see her come back! Maybe we need to plant a bottle of vodka as bait - hee hee!

@topffer I am attempting my last efforts now to reach out to her. Hope that this works out for once - and at least we get some update on her. She had been going through some sad phases after which she closed down the email, and even went inactive at Fb.

Back those days, I was scared to use these emoticons and she would always tell me not to be scared of them and try them out once for a start. And since that first time, I have never missed using them. And that is not one reason, I believe she was the one whom I was closest with - I know even if I would be completely wrong, she would still be around to get me on the correct thing. There are definitely some more of such souls around here and I feel blessed being associated with them

@hora_fugit I have no clue what those emoticons mean - in which situation which one should be used. Yes, I write "I have" because even today after so many years of using them, I am still not sure when to use a few of them. But I have tried all and each of them available at MyLot.
I have even used one at a very wrong situation and back those days, we did not have an edit link either.
And I had PMed her about that incident - and she was there to protect me.

I guessed who you were talking about and the comment from hereandthere confirmed it. I remember Saphrina from South Africa, but I unfortunately I can't help you. I have never talked to her outside myLot. I hope that someone else knows where she is today

I know exactly who you are talking about, and I miss her, too. I also miss her boyfriend (or ex-boyfriend). There are actually a good number of people that I miss with whom I used to talk that have not found there way back here ... or maybe they have and are in disguise and do not want to be recognized. I know a couple "new" faces that really are old familiar friends, but they have chosen not to associate their old identities with their new ones, and I respect their wishes. Perhaps this is the same with a few others as well.

@thesids I was wondering what happened to your "Big Sis". It is sad that she is not here having fun like she used to.
I know that MysD said she should be back on here more in the near future, and that will be very nice. I hope that some others will come back before long as well ... or at least show themselves to us if they are already here in disguise.

@purplealabaster Unfortunately, I believe she has troubles using this website - the newer version of it. Here is her only discussion here on the new version -
About a week or a little more before, here Facebook update said that she was expecting the birth of her grandchild. So I think the baby is keeping her busy. I do come across some posts from her on Facebook, when I login to facebook. as most of my friends are back here, I do rarely log into Facebook now. I had also sent her some messages over the Fb Chat.
Oh my, with the demise of the original myLot, I lost a TRUE world of friends....some SO, SO attached too, I worried if they did not post for days....some we got...

Same here dear PA with me. Dear pergy was back for a discussion, but Big Sis found the new site too cumbersome to navigate, locate the responses etc and she left... some never returned, and some others might be around with new identities (as you mention).

! I'm so glad to find you back here again. I felt strange using mylot just a few minutes ago because I couldn't seem to find familiar faces and it has changed a lot from what it used to be. But voila! I saw your name and it feels like home again. Names of old friends started popping up in my head and I just knew I have to find each and everyone of them here.

Unfortunately no. No one around seems to have a clue on her whereabouts. I have her earlier email, and also on Facebook, but she has not logged on to Fb for so many months now and even her emails are going undelivered.
In all probability, she has changed her email. I pray for her well being as she has influenced me more here - she was one who made me comfortable when I was a newbie here and also, the emoticons I use today, she is the one behind it. I was literally scared to use them and she gave me the confidence to start and give them a try.
