Okay, it is time now to tell you about the large item I bought, and my brother helped me pick up. It is a hot tub. One of those "softubs". This one is a two person spa. Using a hot tub really helps my fibromyalgia feel bette I often see things on FB buy sell trade groups but I am never early enough to get them. Last night I was, so I got this hot tub for $100. It was working when I went to see it and I am sure I will love it.

Is it the same as a jucuzzi? I always wanted one as it soothes the nerves. Good for you. Must be just waiting to take a plunge - not not a plunge waiting to gently move in.(lol) There are jet springs in there that will give you a nice hot massage too.

Jacuzzi is a name brand of a hot tub jetted spa. Yes, this has jets and very warm water. We will build it a solid platform and fill it. I had stopped going to the YMCA because we are moving out of the area and the hot tub and sauna were things that I used often and a lot.

Oh, that does sound rather luxurious. That seems awfully cheap so I hope it works for you.

Yes, it was in my very cheap price range. It was working when we went to see it, and hot and the jets were working, etc. The people had had it several years and are through moving and want to get a rigid hot tub, it was like I paid them for the privilege of moving it out of their way.

@valmnz I hope to have it up and running before the really cold weather hits. I will be able to fill it with hot water from the laundry room so it will warm up quickly.

Wow, you got a heck of a bargain! I would love one for me and the hubby. We both have arthritis and a soak in a hot tub would help alleviate the pain. You are lucky lady!

@GardenGerty I have had one for many years. I turn it on before I go to bed and it wraps me in its warmth. However, to sit in a hot tub with the hubby would be wonderful.

We need to set up a level place for it still. Other stuff like improving the electrical service had to happen first. Have you considered buying a heated mattress pad? It helps a lot as well.

I hate seeing great bargains but not being able to pick them up. Lucky you to have help just when you needed it.

I also had a place to put it at the new house. It would have never worked out here.

It will be outside. That is where the previous owners had it as well. Many people here build covered porches for their hot tubs.

Do you ever visit Hot Springs? I do not remember how far it is from where you live. I think it would be awesome to be able to go to a natural hot springs.

@GardenGerty You know, I never really thought about it. I have been to Hot Springs once, many years ago. Now that we live in Arkansas, I might just mention it to my brother.

Nice! When we went to the County Fair, we saw a bunch of vendors selling them, but new - and boy were they pricey! So $100 is a steal if you it's in great working condition!
