Are two sentence posts on myLot appropriate?

I seem to be paying more attention to things the longer I'm here and the more people I subscribe to. All of a sudden it seems that I am seeing more and more posts contain only one or two sentences. I mean, come on - that's hardly worth the effort. But more important than that - is that appropriate per the guidelines?
I realize there is no minimum word count but I would hope that if I open a post it has a little substance to it. What do you think?

and sometimes it's 2 questions, instead of 2 sentences.
i think it's better to start by answering your own questions first before asking readers what they think.

@AbbyGreenhill to be fair, some ask questions because they are really want to know or understand something, so if they give a backgrounder first, describe whatever the situation is, then anyone coming across their post might be more inclined to answer.

Exactly - you give a little description to lead up to the question and you do answer your own question - that's how you get people chatting back and forth.

Yeah it's usually one statement and one question. "I had a good day today. How was your day?" "I had pizza for lunch today. What did you have?"

I can write 500 words w/o blinking so 3-4 sentences should be easy for anyone. I like some meat in my discussions!

@AbbyGreenhill True, but again depends on what one writes and how interesting it is for others ..

If it is a sentence that has enough substance to start interaction that's a different thing.

I think two sentence posts are fine as long as they're relevant to the dicussion. If you're just using this site to spam referral links on the site, then that is not fine. I think as long as they're not like one word answers, it's acceptable.

I used the word post incorrectly - that should have said are two sentence discussions ...bla bla bla..and I don't do it that way - I'm talking in general.

Honestly I seldom feel interested in responding to discussions (if we can even call them that) that are only 1-2 sentences long. I've noticed that interesting discussions almost always start with a brief description to draw your attention to the topic before asking for people's opinion or answer.

Yes I also show someone put one or two sentence but not more so not more chance for long interacting and then what happenes people may start avoiding. So if medium then also fine but need main point to described then look good.
