In March this year a friend gave me a Maple Tree Bonsai for my birthday. I watered and feed that plant, shaped it and did everything except sing to it, (then it might have died). Three months later in our winter all the leaves fell off, I was devastated. In my part of the world there are not many trees which lose their leaves completely over winter. Then I realized a Maple Tree probably does drop its leaves.
Over the past few months I have watched my little Bonsai, I put it in the wintry sunshine and brought it inside to protect it from stormy weather.
We are now in our second week of Spring and I have noticed tiny buds forming on the tree, it is so exciting to see green leaves starting to take shape and to know that I didn't kill my little Bonsai it is all part of the natural process of nature.

While our summer is almost over--I know because our high temperatures are now only 89!!
One of the reasons I love living in South Florida is that we have green trees, bushes, hedges, plants all year round!.
