What are your concerns when it comes to souvenirs?

Some of us feel that it is not complete when there is no souvenir but of course it depends to people's priority when it comes about souvenir if they like it or not. There are some people who wants to give souvenirs though this is the part that they spend least or there are some that they spend much depending for the reasons. Now I wanted to know the reasons and concerns when giving the souvenirs, like why did you choose that kind of item to become souvenir on that particular event? I availed the smoothie and cupcake TOWELS during my baby's first birthday. Since I am a tricky person then I really want to trick other people making them believe that it is real drink or food and realize it is just towel. So I even told the supplier to make it look YUMMY that is believable to drink and eat. My niece have already noticed that the items were just towels she even whispered that to me during event, though she still have a picture that she sipped on it just to pose that she is drinking. Then when I gave the smoothies there were kids been fooled of that material up to the point that they are looking for real shake. There were some people opened the cupcake and about to eat. At the same time the reason that I also want to avail the towels is that aside that it is presentable for me it could be practical at the same time because it is also part of basic necessities, I want to give something that I know people will use it not just display. I spent much for that but I believe it is worth. Now I know how they created it so the only thing I can do next time is to buy all the sources then I will be the one to make it.
