If you accept working for 'peanuts' don't complain when you're treated like a monkey.

this is another quote that I found painted on a wall in a guest house - photo is my own

The quote is by Rob Liano. I have just written a long and lengthy post on another site which most of you know, the one that has more fresh air in its Bubble than ever before . . . What are your thoughts about writing for peanuts? Please tag me in posts you most certainly would like me to read . . . How do we do that???

It's okay to agree to work for peanuts, but you should get your damn peanuts, not have to walk away still hungry.

I can't get on at the minute as it says it's down for maintenance again, but I'm not convinced we are even getting peanuts over there, although there's still lots of love from fellow posters

Glad to hear I wan't the only one who couldn't get in. I was going to write a post apologizing for being so absent and a bad bubbler but ask for no one to comment since I never seem to get around to returning comments. They would probably just comment anyway. Love the people there. So sad.

And I trotted along to read it but got a server error. Re your question you can send suggestions, don't ask me how though. Now re writing I won't write for peanuts ever again, if I mylot it is for fun. I've been swamped with work from the company I write for and had another client wanting work done this week too, I said too busy so he doubled my rate if I could prioritise him when I had time. He paid me $100 for the writing work I did for him Thursday. I've learnt to ask for what I'm worth.

I agree - so I am with you on this stand - regardless of how much money we need - work should get its compensation - PROPER

@Inlemay Absolutely. And having been burnt by B's stealing I now only work for companies that pay immediately on receipt of my work.

Sometimes , we come to the end of the line writing for peanuts , when the site has already become a ghost town . Your favorite connections aren't there anymre to read your posts . What's the use ?

I did not really care to work for peanuts until I liked the site and the atmosphere, that is now totally spoiled. A monkey working for Bubb would die of starvation, because they will never give to the poor animals the peanuts that she earned (they use them for their parties).

You should only work for peanuts by choice.
