I'm Sitting Here and You're Sitting There

I just love it, the way we can have almost instant communication across the seas, talking to people in different countries and different time zones. When I respond to something here and then get an almost instantaneous reply, that's magical. I try to picture you sitting there in your own little space, in whatever different time of the day you're in, and it feels as if you're very close. One thing I especially like though - you can't see what I'm wearing, whether I've brushed my hair and that little pile of dishes in the sink that are calling out to me. Those things remain my secret. It's good to feel relaxed here, with no pressure of appearances. I'm sure you all have favourite places and times you interact here, maybe curled up in your PJs, your round the house clothes, that little cleared space on the bench. Do you forget to get dressed in the morning if you're engrossed on here? Do you put off doing little chores that should be done, for just one more interaction? Or are you more sensible than I am?

My Computer @LadyDuck
I am in front of my computer, I am dressed and my hair combed, this is something I always do in the morning because I hate to hear the door bell ring and not to be dressed. Here is a photo of my computer (on the left) the one on the right is the computer of my husband, but most of the time he uses the tablet in the livingroom downstairs.

I am convinced that you are eminently more sensible than I, so don't ruin my illusion. Honestly, some days I can't get out of my own way. Today, I accomplished this but not that, some of this thing and not enough of the other thing. But I got dressed early on. If I don't, I get even less done.

All of the above I'm sitting in my armchair with my laptop. Husband's gone out with our daughter, so I'm blissfully alone, feet up, cup of tea. What's not to like?

I am actually about to go out shopping shortly, so I shall be offline for a while. There is no set time of day for me to visit Mylot, I simply visit on and off as the mood takes me.

I am always dressed when I am in here. I am used to it, because if someone comes to the door, I want to make sure that I am dressed. I have a comfy easy chair that I do mylot in, so I can put the keyboard on my lap while I am tyoing away. It really is nice though, that we can talk to people in here, from wherever we are.

I can relate to making sure you're dressed. I was sitting here in my dressing gown earlier, then remembered this is my sister's last day in town and she might call round.

@valmnz Yea, you would want to be dressed, if she dropped by thatis for sure. It would be a total embaarrassment that is for sure.

I am always dressed formally.. (nah that is a blatant lie.. ) I am still in my night clothes. Dishes have been washed an put away after breakfast and the house is quiet .. the sun is streaming in through then large windows and I am sitting at the table with a cup of coffee, responding to your discussion and I love being able to talk to you like this.

What is so annoying is that today I've had my second best day and I've spent far more time than usual here. But I know I can't do this every day.

I don't think I could be accused of being sensible I'm guilty on all counts, although currently I'm dressed and sat in the sofa, but then it's nearly 630 pm so you wouldn't expect me to still be in my pjs

I am usually in my PJ's when I am here. When we were interacting earlier it was morning for me. About 6 AM actually. I had just left work to come home, eat a bite and catch up on the 'lot. I love being able to talk to people from different areas around the world, in different parts of their day.
