Hidden Notifications?

My Notification indicator says i have 3 Notifications - that after I have read all of them and cleaned out my inbox - Why is it still saying I have 3 Notifications?
Are they hidden somewhere?
I have clicked on all the indicators to see if there aren't in drafts or other - but nothing . . . can someone give some advice?

This usually happens when a discussion, response, etc. that you received a notification for was deleted by the user who wrote it.
I thought we had that bug fixed, but apparently not. I'll see if we can identify more. I do know that the issue will eventually clear itself out within a few days.
I know it's annoying though. Sorry about that!

@mylotbugs does deleting (voluntary or by admin) affect earnings?

@hereandthere No, not at this time. It will prevent that discussion, response or comment from generating future earnings though obviously. If it doesn't exist anymore, then it's impossible to generate future interactions (and therefore earnings). Hopefully that makes sense!

It is, I believe, a known bug that the 'Notifications' (and 'Suggestions') totals are a little 'off'. At the moment MyLotBugs is/are concentrating on making the site as fast and as profitable (for them and for us) as possible and will then turn his/their attention to the many other small bugs and problems which there are.
There are some things which aren't right but we can live with and some which seriously interfere with the way the site is supposed to work. Obviously, the latter have to take priority. You would much rather, I'm sure, have fewer error messages and pages which load faster and a nicely increasing bank total than have little anomalies in your totals fixed!
But, well ... you never can tell! I see that, sometimes, even the smallest problem can be addressed!

well even if they don't have time, or can't fix it, they very well might not know about it until we as users tell them about it. It's rather like being a beta tester in a game, yeah it might not be something that get's addressed for awhile, but pointing it out is a good thing, as long as we don't get negative about the whole deal, which glancing over comments I don't see that people did.

This is what happens when you worry about cleaning out your notifications and keeping it empty. I have no idea how many notifications I have. I look at the new ones when I come here. I stop looking when I have seen all the new ones. The notifications drop off on their own after a number of days so I don't have to clean them out/ My notifications could be broken and I would never know.

I've never thought about deleting my notifications, they just exist and I read the new ones

You can refresh and see if the situation changes. Invariably they are suggestions.

I tried everything except disappear. ha ha - @myLotBugs luckily has given me an answer and I shall wait for it to sort itself out.

Although my Notifications list is clear, the Notifications tally below my avatar at top-left still shows a count of "1", has done for the last couple of days now. I guess it will sort itself out within the week, but if anyone is watching or looking for examples of this particular myLot idiosyncracy, t'is documented
