Why do I not see them

After writing a post, a response or a comment I read through and only then will I click that 'submit' button. But what do you know when I get back there again howlers stare at me. By then many would have already read what I have typed there. Since there is a rule here not to criticise, no one will draw my attention to those howlers.
Eeek I say. I hate seeing them there glaring and staring at me. Ofcourse I correct them for posterity
Do I have company here? (lol)

But what I see there is not what has come out of my mouth but my silly fingers have done that

Oh no! What did I do wrong? I had to double check to see if what I know as howler is indeed that - coming from you who I expect to be an expert when it comes to this confusing language called English

@greatmartin i thought howler was a strong, windy storm. but i guess @allknowing meant typos/mistakes while typing.

It happens. I was sure I had typed everything correctly but the next time I return to it, poof. There it was.
